Hello

This is a collection of zines on different topics within programming, explained using mathematics. The whole idea is to give people some intuition on how math relates to programming in its very core — stuff that is usually glossed over in most settings. However, I’d like to stress that you do not need to understand the math behind programming — or even behind programming languages — to be good at it.

Writing progress

As it stands, most zines here orbitate around functional programming and computational effects, due to them being the core of my PhD thesis and it makes it easier for me to write about them. I hope to extend it with logic programming and some imperative programming at some point. Lastly, I’d like to emphasise the current status of this collection is a huge [WORK IN PROGRESS]. Feel free to point out errors, typos and whatnot.

Transparency

I ran out of my PhD scholarship funding, so I have been working on consultancy. But science communication outreach has always been on the back of my mind, this time I decided to give it a shot.

Why is it free but you're taking donations?

My end goal is science communication outreach and it to be available to everyone, especially to people who cannot afford it. If you are privileged enough to spare some money on my zines, you will be supporting me and lots of people who cannot easily have access to this content... and I will be forever grateful for that.

What my donations would be covering?

Mostly personal stuff I cannot afford right now.
